BARCO's mission is to provide affordable artist's spaces in Station North. One of several projects in the area, they will renovate this existing two-story warehouse structure into a maker space with a retail lobby and cafe. Through a membership model (like a gym), participants gain access to a state-of-the-art digital fabrication shop, wood shop, metal shop, and other tools, as well as a community of creators like themselves.

Maker Space
The lobby includes an open floor plan, high ceilings, and large windows to encourage collaboration and community.
These precedent images show the various workspaces you can find in Open Works, including studios and classrooms with equipment to support metal and woodworking, painting, 3D printing, and digital embroidery.
Micro studios on the top floor open out to wide views of the city while the ground floor is designated space for heavy shops.
