Five historic industrial buildings remain from the 17-acre Poole & Hunt Foundry complex, as well as the ruins of another destroyed in a 1995 fire. The strategy behind the urban plan for Clipper Mill is to move from a history of industrial production and environmental stress to a sustainable mixed-use urban environment. The Jones Falls greenway and a new main street act as the schema off which green space, public plazas and site ruins converge to create a diverse visual experience in scale and program.
