This community center mixed head start, young adult recreation programs, and a senior center for a low-income residential community. The facility consists of a gymnasium, a senior center- multi-purpose room, crafts, game room, 2 classrooms for Head Start program, community library, basketball court, playing fields, parking for 30 cars, and protected outdoor play area for Head Start. The building was set back to reflect a "building in the park" concept. Internally, the layout of spaces is arranged to take into consideration security concerns. Daylighting of key spaces from the top eliminates the need for numerous ground-level windows.
