Canton Cove represents the conversion of a former, 200,000 SF factory into 89 luxury waterfront condominiums. Large windows allow each floor for expansion views. The lobby is oriented to the water, as are two-thirds of the condominiums. Extensive coordination with City and State agencies was required due to the project's location in a Chesapeake Bay Critical area. The character of the new architecture was derived from the surrounding setting - a fomerly industrial working waterfront. Part of the original structure's steel skeleton was exposed to form a colorful framework of balconies and pergolas.
